Corey Graywood, CLC
Buncome County Lactation Consultant

Corey is a Certified Lactation Counselor and Certified Postpartum Doula (DONA) based in Asheville, where she lives with her husband and two young children. Originally trained as a birth doula, she quickly recognized the growing need for comprehensive postpartum support in her community. She began her work as a postpartum doula by guiding families through the tender, often overwhelming early days of bringing a new baby home.

As she worked closely with clients, Corey saw that many families had feeding questions and needed more specialized, hands-on support. What began as part of her postpartum care soon became a true passion—helping families understand the nuances of feeding their baby, whether at the breast or with a bottle. She believes that early, consistent support can make a profound difference and understands that every family’s feeding journey is unique, whether they are welcoming their first child or their fifth.

Today, Corey offers personalized lactation support in the comfort of clients’ homes or at the Asheville office. She has completed focused training in flange fittings to ensure pumping is both comfortable and effective. With many families returning to work, pumping has become an essential part of infant feeding. Drawing on current research about proper flange sizing, Corey helps clients achieve a better fit and improved milk output through individualized flange assessments, helping them to feel confident and supported in their feeding goals.
